Sonatus continues to go from strength to strength. Fresh off the heels of our Hyundai Motor Group partnership and $35 million Series A funding round, I’m pleased to report that Sonatus has recently earned several important industry accolades.
Earlier this year, we were named a finalist in the Automotive News PACEpilot, which celebrates supplier innovations that have reached the working pilot demonstration phase, but that are still pre-commercial. We were recognized for our software-defined Dynamic Data Management solution that unlocks data-driven innovation for automakers by enabling simplified, cloud-based configuration, collection, and access to virtually any vehicle data—in real time.
It’s not just our game-changing technology that is the talk of the industry, but our talented employees as well. Michael Cory, our head of marketing and communications, was named a Rising Star by Automotive News. Michael is an accomplished marketer who’s worked in the automotive industry for more than 15 years on both the OEM and supplier sides. Previously, he worked at Toyota in product planning and later at Bang & Olufsen Americas and Harman International where he helped to build new sales and marketing teams and was able to work with several global OEMs. This is a well-deserved honor for Michael and underscores the great work he does at Sonatus leading our marketing efforts.
Additionally, our very own Kat Pearl was named as a 2021 Woman of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. As one of the first women in tech sales in Silicon Valley, Kat is a true trailblazer and extremely deserving of this honor. Today, as head of business development, Kat is forging critical strategic partnerships for Sonatus that help us to drive the evolution of the digital vehicle ecosystem and amplify our value proposition to automakers.
This is just the beginning for Sonatus and we look forward to many more amazing accomplishments ahead!
